Mini knife pleats 2

Here is the latest slipcover I have finished. This fun slipcover goes perfect in my customers beautiful home. The sofa has casters in front and we did not want to cover them up plus it is easier to sweep underneath. The mini knife pleats add to the beauty of the slipcover.

The pleats were so fast and easy with my new Quick Pleater by Angie Knowles.

My last couple deliveries have been in the evening and I don't like the way the pictures turn out.

Ticking and Ruffles

Two of my favorites - Ticking and Ruffles - look so good together in my latest slipcover. My customer's pillows go perfect with the black ticking.

My customer's adorable dog "Jack" loves the new slipcover too.

Office Chair Slipcovers

This is my latest office chair slipcover done for an out-of-state customer in Seattle, WA.

The customer sends me a picture of their office chair and I will draw color coded markings for each measurement I will need. She picked out two fabrics- one for the main body of the slipcover and contrast fabric for the piping and the back pleat insert. Then a back closure is chosen(bow, clasp, ties, button flap...). Finally a skirt style (ruffled, pleated, kick pleats...) and length are chosen. If you have a design idea I have not listed above that is no problem. You design it and I can make it.

The seat is secured underneath with velcro straps to insure the seat will stay in place. I pre-wash all fabrics in HOT water and dry on a HOT setting to remove the maximum shrinkage before constructing the slipcover. All seams are serged to prevent raveling.

Linen Blend Slipcover

My latest slipcovers were done in a beautiful linen/cotton blend. This fabric was a dream to work with. It looked even better after it was washed. The back cushions were a little limp so I added a dacron wrap and plumped them back up. The cushions were good as new.

King Wings

This is a pair of beautiful King wing chairs. I nicknamed them "King Wings" because they are the tallest wing chairs I have seen. These are the kind of wing chairs you would find in a castle. My customer inherited these beauties and wanted to update the look. The fabric is a mini animal print on a linen fabric. She wanted them finished with a mini ruffle skirt. I really like the results.
